Cookies are very small text files that are stored on your hard drive or in your computer\u2019s memory. They are linked to the web browser (Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.) on the computer you use to visit a website.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

What do cookies do?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Cookies can be used to store your personal preferences (such as language settings or font size), to remember which products you have saved in the shopping basket of a web shop, or to allow you to log in to a website faster by remembering your username and to fill in. Websites also use cookies to collect statistics about visits to their website. This allows the owners \/ administrators of a website to check which parts or articles are popular, whether visitors find the navigation useful or which web browsers or devices they use. Based on this, websites can be further improved and the content can be tailored to the visitor group.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

In addition, it is possible to use cookies to build up a picture of your interests. For example, by keeping track of the type of articles you read or which sections you visit. This helps owners to provide you with relevant information. Do websites know who I am through cookies?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

No definitely not! Cookies are stored in your computer\u2019s web browser and are not linked to you personally. With cookies, publishers can therefore only recognize the computer and not the user behind it. Cookies also cannot be used to retrieve your personal information (such as e-mail or residential address). Cookies are therefore not related to unwanted sales calls, spam or viruses.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

How does ideia internet use cookies?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Cookies are used on the ideia internet website. Many of those cookies are necessary for the functionality of the site. We use other cookies for statistical purposes. For example, we measure how often visitors come to the site, which articles are read well, which web browsers are used and which search terms have been entered into a search engine to find our websites. This allows us to optimize and improve the websites in terms of both form and content. These cookies do not store any personal data. So they do not register who you are or what your email address is.Cookies from the American company Google are placed via our website as part of the \u201cAnalytics\u201d service. We use this service to keep track of and receive reports on how visitors use the website. Google may provide this information to third parties if Google is legally obliged to do so, or insofar as third parties process the information on behalf of Google. What does the cookie law entail?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This regulates, among other things, the obligation for website publishers to inform their visitors about the use of cookies, as we do here. In addition, publishers must now ask their users for explicit permission to place cookies, a so-called opt-in arrangement (obligation to consent). Dutch legislation is therefore stricter on a number of points than the European directives that prescribe an opt-out (option for visitors to indicate that they do not want cookies). In practice, this means that website owners, advertisers and all other sources (such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) must request permission to place cookies. This must be done separately for each cookie that has not been displayed before. In practice, this means that you instead of a website that opens quickly and provides you with information, you are first confronted with a number of windows that report which cookie will be placed. You must then indicate whether you agree with this (opt-in).<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
